Documentation

What Is Image Blur

Image Blur adds an overall blur effect to photos with batch processing and export. It is useful for soft redaction before sharing screenshots or publishing assets (e.g., names, IDs, addresses, license plates).

How to Use This Tool

  1. Click Choose Images/Choose Folder, or drag and drop files into the upload area.
  2. Adjust Blur Strength (radius is computed as ceil(strength/2)).
  3. Select an item in the list and compare source and blurred output in the preview area.
  4. Click Process Current or Batch Process to generate results.
  5. Download a single JPG or export all results as a ZIP archive.

Key Features

  • Local batch upload and folder import
  • Blur strength control with before/after preview
  • Process current image or batch process
  • Download a single file or export a ZIP (JPG output)

Tips

  • Increase strength for stronger redaction; lower it to keep more details.
  • Transparent PNGs are composited on a white background before exporting to JPG (JPG has no alpha channel).
  • Image dimensions stay the same; only pixel colors are modified.

FAQ

How does strength work?
Strength is mapped to a radius, and pixels are smoothed by averaging neighbors. Higher strength means a wider blur.

Why export as JPG?
It is convenient for previewing, batch downloads, and sharing across platforms.

Are my images uploaded?
No. Processing runs locally in your browser.
