Image Edge Detection runs locally in your browser to extract contours from images, with batch processing and downloads for sketch creation, OCR preprocessing, and edge analysis workflows.

Main Features

  1. Upload JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF, SVG, or import whole folders in batch
  2. Generate black-edge-on-white results with grayscale, Gaussian smoothing, and dual-threshold edge extraction
  3. Compare source and result side by side, then download single or batch outputs

How to Use

  1. Click "Choose Images" or drag files into the upload area
  2. Select an item in the queue to preview
  3. Click "Convert Current" or "Batch Convert" to generate edge results
  4. Export files with "Download Current" or "Download All"

Processing Notes

  1. Original dimensions are preserved and only pixel colors are transformed
  2. Output format follows the source extension when possible, otherwise falls back to JPG
  3. All processing happens locally and no image is uploaded to a server

Usage Tips

  1. If edges look weak, increase image contrast before edge detection
  2. For portraits and text-heavy images, PNG input often gives cleaner boundaries
  3. Batch download is exported as a ZIP, and failed items are excluded automatically

FAQ

  1. If edges look weak, try increasing contrast before running edge detection
  2. SVG input is processed from the browser-rendered image content
  3. Batch download skips items that do not have generated results
