Documentation

Overview

Image Viewer lets you preview mixed local image formats like JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, SVG, WebP, TIFF, and HEIC in one workspace for quick asset review.

Core Features

  • Import multiple files or whole folders at once.
  • Read thumbnails, dimensions, file size, and decode status for mixed formats.
  • Filter the queue by all files, preview-ready files, and failed files.
  • Move between previous and next items and download the currently selected original file.

How To Use

  1. Choose images or a folder, or drag files into the upload area.
  2. Wait for the browser to decode thumbnails and size details.
  3. Click any item in the list to inspect the large preview and metadata.
  4. Use the filter tabs to focus on ready items or failed files.

Supported Formats

  • Standard formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, SVG, and WebP.
  • Extended formats: TIFF, TIF, and HEIC.
  • All preview and decode work stays inside the browser.

Use Cases

  • Batch checking design assets before delivery.
  • Organizing albums that contain multiple image formats.
  • Reviewing website or app image packs for invalid files.
  • Centralized preview for HEIC and TIFF files during cleanup.

FAQ

  • Why do some files fail to preview: this is usually caused by damaged files, browser compatibility limits, or invalid image data.
  • Why are HEIC and TIFF slower to load: both formats need extra local decoding before the preview can be generated.
  • Does downloading the current image modify the file: no, the tool downloads the original selected file as-is.

Privacy

Image preview, thumbnail generation, and format decoding run locally in the browser and do not upload your files to the server.
