Frequently Asked Questions
What landline phone number formats can the tool recognize?
This tool supports recognition of standard Chinese landline phone formats, including: 010-12345678 (with hyphen), 0755-87654321 (4-digit area code), (021)12345678 (with parentheses), 021 12345678 (with space) and other formats. Area codes are usually 3-4 digits (starting with 0), numbers are usually 7-8 digits.
What does strict mode do?
Strict mode only extracts landline phone numbers containing separators (-, space or parentheses), which avoids misidentifying consecutive numbers. If strict mode is disabled, the tool will try to identify all possible landline phone number formats, including consecutive numbers.
What does unified format display mean?
Unified format display formats all extracted landline phone numbers into standard format: area code-number. For example, 01012345678 will be formatted as 010-12345678, 0755 87654321 will be formatted as 0755-87654321. This makes it convenient for subsequent processing and use.
