What is Number Extractor?
Number Extractor can intelligently identify and extract all numbers from any text content. This tool supports recognition of various number formats, including positive integers, negative integers, floating-point numbers, thousands separator format (e.g., 1,234.56), and scientific notation. You can choose to extract all numbers, integers only, or floats only, widely used in data cleaning, numerical analysis, financial processing and other scenarios.
Core Features
Usage Instructions
Text Input
Paste or enter any text containing numbers in the input box. Supports web content, document paragraphs, email body and any content containing numbers. The system will identify and extract all numbers in real-time.
Smart Extract
The system automatically identifies integers and floating-point numbers, supports negative numbers and thousands format. Can handle various number representations, including scientific notation, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of extraction results.
Options
You can choose to extract all numbers, integers only, or floats only. Supports deduplication, whether to include negative numbers, whether to recognize thousands separator and other options to meet different number processing needs.
Export Function
Supports one-click copy to clipboard, or download as timestamped TXT file for easy import into other tools or data analysis.
Frequently Asked Questions
What number formats can the tool recognize?
This tool supports recognition of various number formats, including positive integers, negative integers, floating-point numbers, thousands separator format (e.g., 1,234.56), and scientific notation. You can choose to extract all numbers, integers only, or floats only as needed.
How are integers and floating-point numbers distinguished?
Integers are numbers without decimal points (e.g., 123, -456), floating-point numbers are numbers with decimal points (e.g., 3.14, -2.5). When selecting "Integers Only", only numbers without decimal points are extracted; when selecting "Floats Only", only numbers with decimal points are extracted; when selecting "All Numbers", both are extracted.
What does the thousands separator option do?
When the thousands separator option is enabled, the tool will recognize number formats with commas (e.g., 1,234, 12,345.67). If this option is not enabled, these commas will be treated as separators, which may cause numbers to be incorrectly split. It is recommended to enable this option when processing financial data or large values.
Is the processed data secure?
Completely secure! This tool uses pure frontend technology. All number extraction and processing operations are completed locally in your browser, and no data is sent to any server. Your input text and extracted number list will not be uploaded, stored, or recorded, completely protecting your privacy.
