The PDF Metadata Editor reads and updates PDF document properties locally in your browser. It is useful for organizing contracts, invoices, reports, archives, searchable document libraries, and files prepared for delivery.

Key Features

  • Upload one PDF file and read existing metadata.
  • Edit title, author, subject, creator, producer, and keywords.
  • View and set creation date and modification date.
  • Export a new PDF without overwriting the original file.
  • Process the PDF locally without actively uploading document content.

Steps

  1. Choose or drag one PDF file into the tool area.
  2. Wait for the existing metadata to load.
  3. Update title, author, keywords, and date fields as needed.
  4. Generate a new PDF and download it from the result area.

Field Notes

  • Title: describes the PDF document name for search and preview.
  • Author: records the owner, department, or organization.
  • Subject: adds the document topic, purpose, or business context.
  • Keywords: use commas to separate multiple terms for archives and search.
  • Creation and modification dates: useful for archiving, version cleanup, and delivery preparation.

This tool reads the PDF, writes metadata, and creates the result file locally in your browser. It does not actively upload the original or edited PDF.
