The PDF Scan Enhancement tool improves scanned and phone-captured PDF files locally in your browser. It can remove gray backgrounds, increase contrast, adjust brightness, convert pages to grayscale or black-white, and rebuild a cleaner PDF for printing, archiving, invoices, contracts, forms, and study materials.
Key Features
- Process all pages or a specific page range.
- Choose grayscale, black-white, or color enhancement.
- Adjust background threshold, background strength, contrast, brightness, and black-white threshold.
- Set render scale and rebuild pages as JPG or PNG inside a new PDF.
- Preview PDF pages in the right panel with page navigation and zoom controls.
- Copy unselected pages into the output PDF without rasterizing them.
- Files are processed locally in the browser and are not uploaded.
How to Use
- Upload a PDF file or drop it into the upload area.
- Choose the enhancement mode and enter a page range if needed.
- Adjust render scale, background cleanup, contrast, brightness, and image quality.
- Click “Start Enhance”, then download the generated PDF after processing.
Parameter Tips
- Use grayscale enhancement for most scanned documents.
- Use black-white enhancement before printing or photocopying text-heavy pages.
- Use color enhancement for receipts, stamps, images, and forms with colored marks.
- Lower render scale or JPG quality if the output file is too large.
Privacy
Your PDF is read, rendered, enhanced, and exported in the current browser. The tool does not actively upload file content to a server.
