Documentation

The PDF double page to single page tool separates double-page scanned PDFs into single-page PDFs locally in your browser. It is useful for book scans, contract archives, submission files, and print preparation.

Core Features

  • Upload or drag one PDF file.
  • Split left/right double pages or top/bottom double pages.
  • Set page range, output order, outer trim, and gutter ignore.
  • Keep unselected pages unchanged when only part of the PDF needs processing.
  • Read, split, and export PDF files locally in the browser.

Steps

  1. Upload a PDF file or drag it into the tool area.
  2. Set the page range to split, or leave it blank for all pages.
  3. Choose left/right or top/bottom layout and confirm output order.
  4. Adjust outer trim and gutter ignore when needed.
  5. Click “Split Pages”, then download the generated PDF.

Split Rules

  • Left/right layout splits each selected page by the vertical center.
  • Top/bottom layout splits each selected page by the horizontal center.
  • Outer trim is applied before calculating the split area.
  • Gutter ignore removes the center binding area from the split result.
  • When keep unchanged is enabled, unselected pages are copied directly to the output PDF.

Use Cases

  • Split book, textbook, and booklet scans into single pages.
  • Organize double-page scanned contracts, archives, and invoice attachments.
  • Prepare scanned materials for single-page submission, printing, or archiving.
  • Fix files whose left/right or top/bottom page order needs adjustment.

Privacy

This tool reads, splits, and exports PDF files locally in your browser and does not actively upload file content to the server.
