Overview

The Video Format Converter converts videos locally in your browser to MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, or WEBM. Files are not uploaded to a server, making it useful for quick container changes, local transcoding, and web-compatible output.

Supported Formats

  • Input formats: common video files, including MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, WEBM, M4V, FLV, WMV, MPEG, and 3GP.
  • Output formats: MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, and WEBM.
  • Quality options: high, medium, and low.

Use Cases

  • Convert editing assets to formats that are easier to play or process.
  • Prepare course videos and screen recordings for web or mobile playback.
  • Reduce file size before publishing to social platforms or sharing.
  • Process private video files locally without uploading them.

Notes

  • The first run loads the local FFmpeg WebAssembly files, which may take time.
  • Video transcoding uses significant CPU and memory, especially for large files on mobile devices.
  • If conversion fails, try a lower quality option or another output format.
